Residents are invited to a community meeting on Wednesday, March 22, to learn about the progress on the creation of Diamond Bar’s first Town Center Specific Plan.

This informational meeting will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Diamond Bar Center, 1600 Grand Avenue. It is open to the public and does not require registration.

At this meeting, the project team – made up of City staff and expert consultants – will provide background information, share street design and housing opportunities to support a livable, walkable, and bikeable environment, reveal the latest conceptual site plans and layouts, and talk about next steps in the Specific Plan development process.

The intent of the Town Center Specific Plan is to envision, encourage, and guide future private development and public improvements within the 45-acre commercial district located along both sides of Diamond Bar Boulevard between the 60 Freeway and Golden Springs Drive. This area was identified in the Diamond Bar General Plan 2040 as the preferred location for a welcoming and attractive multi-functional downtown destination with shopping, dining, housing opportunities, and public spaces for social activities and entertainment.
